GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Gloucestershire (Glos.) is a geographically diverse county in the south west of England. Gloucester, Cheltenham and Cirencester are the three most populous towns in the county. Of these, affluent and leafy Cheltenham is the most widely-celebrated, and through hosting the annual Gold Cup, is recognised as the UK capital for the steeplechase format of horse racing.
